Summer Time

A  Northwest  Summer

In the NW this week it's cold outside and warm inside. One of those days where you can change when you get home into something cute yet comfortable. Inspired by the change of springtime to summertime, I have a a pop of color with dark mint shorts and a playful flower-print blouse for a summer-bloom mood.

Retro Romper

Fine Lime.

I fell in love with this retro-looking lime romper when I lived in Spokane, WA and honestly think at the time it was too small. I didn't care though because I had never seen one so cute and there was no way I wasn't leaving with it! A few years later, it fits great and is subtly sexy while giving off a playful summer vibe. I wouldn't wear heels with it out of the house though, as it would be much too pin-up looking! Paired great with flats of pretty much any color but silver since the buttons are gold.

The simple 2-color outfit here is fun and easy to put together. Color blocking is limitless when you take a look in your closet. If you're like me, you organize your closet by color to make it easier to put together outfits and find certain items. Plus it's just prettier to look at! Everything in this outfit was thrifted from Plato's Closet except for the tights, which are Forever 21.

Vintage Feel

I saw this dress and was excited about the pleated bottom matched with the loose-fitting top portion, equipped with a removable silk bow. It's like a modern pioneer piece!

This awesome blouse-y dress was thrifted from Buffalo Exchange in Portland, OR but brand is ROMWE.

The Maroon tights are from Forever 21! They have so many colors and patterns these days, I don't even know what compares! Spring is a perfect time for some floral print tights, pastel tights, and all light-weight nylons.

[ P.S. Vintage-inspired chair is from Ross out of all places! So random. Was my first ever purchase with babysitting money in 2003. ]
